Mark has performed at hundreds of weddings, funerals and special occasions. He and his guitar have been a common sight at many local and regional events for decades.

In 1977 Mark was honored to be asked to sing the National Anthem for the Thunder Mountain Pro Rodeo event in Cowlitz County, something he has continued to do at each event for the past 42 years. He has performed the National Anthem at local, regional, state and national events, including the Babe Ruth World Series and the home-opener of the West Coast League Cowlitz Black Bears.

In 1988, Mark performed the National Anthem at the home-opener for the Seattle Seahawks football team in the Kingdome. It was a special day as Mark was also celebrating his own birthday that day. (The Seahawks won 31-10 over the Kansas City Chiefs.)
